2.Remote DNS Settings

⦁ Description: Sets the DNS resolution server for international domain names like Google. It is recommended to choose international DNS (such as Google DNS or Cloudflare) to optimize international connection speed and resolution efficiency.

⦁ Recommended Scenario: If you frequently access international sites, setting a remote DNS can help improve access speed and stability.

3.New Protocol

⦁ Description: Enables or disables the new encryption protocol (such as VLESS) for the VPN, providing higher security and more stable connections.

4.Cut All Connections on Proxy Switch

5.Enable IPv6

10.Windows-Specific Options

TUN Mode

On macOS devices with M-series chips, you can enable VPN using system extensions. When VPN is enabled through system extensions, the per-application proxy function will be ineffective because the system extension cannot identify which application the traffic comes from.

3.How should Windows users choose between proxy mode or TUN mode?

If you cannot access the network normally after enabling TUN mode on Windows, it is recommended to switch to proxy mode. Proxy mode only affects specific applications or browsers, reducing system resource usage while ensuring the necessary applications are connected through the VPN.

After upgrading, it will overwrite the old version and invalidate the whitelist settings. You need to reset it after upgrading to ensure the normal operation of the software.

1. Please check whether the LightningX VPN client is installed in the Applications folder. If it's not, drag the LightningX VPN application into the Applications folder and try logging in and connecting again.

2. Try switching to Safari browser to see if it works properly. If it does, it's possible that other browsers have proxy or ad-blocking plugins installed, causing the issue. Identify these plugins and disable them.

If your Mac runs on macOS 10.15-11.0, you need to close SIP to use LightningX VPN. Check the steps below.
